Digitech Whammy question

I recently got this pedal and didn't like the way it colored my sound when running it through the fx loop of my mark v. I tried to hook it up to the front of the amp, but couldn't figure how. Does anyone know how to properly hook it up to the front of the amp? I'm I complete noob when it comes to pedals.

The input jack should be on the right side of the pedal. Run an instrument cable from your guitar to this jack. The output jack should be on the left side of the pedal. Run an instrument cable from this jack into your amp input jack. Let me know if you need anything else. If you do not want it coloring your sound at all, you should by a loop pedal. There are many different kinds out there. I use a Keeley. LMK if you need more help.
