Yes I believe so, I've never had a DC-5. The guy that I bought this from converted his dc-5 to a head from this combo. I used it as a cab for a couple weeks then used the guts for other things.

I'm not sure to be honest. My mark iv short head rackmount wouldn't fit in it. Probably the same thing for the markIII

I am wondering would this fit a 1983 Mark 2c+ that is now housed in a creme colored 1x12 combo?

I doubt it would fit a mark IIc. I have played a DC5 combo next to a mark IIc and a mark III combo and the marks were significantly smaller. I've never seen a picture of a mark II that was the size of the DC5 combo.

But if you get a DC5 shell for a great price, I don't see why it couldn't be retro-fitted. You might be putting some new screw holes in the shell and padding the sides, but who cares if you get it cheap.
