Hey guys, I'm new to the Board and love it! It's been a wealth of knowledge as I have a'75 MKI, MarkIVB short head, DC-3 combo and recently acquired a dc-10 combo.

Problem with the DC-10 is the rythym channel is 3 times louder than the Lead channel. I've switched out tubes (several known good tubes) so that's not the problem.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!!

Keep on Rockin'

Settings: Rythym Channel
Gain 10 pulled
Treble 8
Mid 5
Bass 4
Pres. 7
Verb 0
Master 2

Lead Channel
Gain 6
Treble 10
Mid 8
Bass 3
Pres. 8
Verb 0
Master 10

Main Master 5

With these setting the channels are equal in volume!?

pulling the gain on the rhythm channel is a MASSIVE boost.

edit: meaning that's exactly what you would expect having it dimed and pulled.

Thanks for the info but the gain boost is not the actual problem. The channel output difference is.

Example: Lead channel master on 10, Main master on 10= Volume level of small 5 watt practice amp

Rythym channel master on 10, Main Master on 10= EARTHQUAKE

Thanx, RX

That's how my DC-5 is too. think it's just the nature of the beast. my lead mstr. is on 5, while my rythm mstr. is a hair under 2
