Dating my Dual Recto

I just ordered a Mesa Dual Rectifier 3 channel, off ebay and should get it in a couple of days. I was wondering how I can find out the year the amp was made. It also has EH EL34's in it and I'm not sure how they will sound. Can anyone help me find out the year the amp was made?

I wish an explaination of the SN was made sticky. i've done searches, but get too many replies. Search functions seem to have gone the way of customer service...
