Dating my DC-2

Hi guys, I've just got my hands on a DC-2 With Imbuya wood cab. It's in A1 condition not a mark on it. I sounds brill. I've had a lot of amp in the past but this is something else. Especially with my 76 les paul custom. My problem is i can't find out how old it is. the tag says Serial#DC-002246x. Anyone know what year it is??

Nice catch! But no idea how old. The numbering is sequential starting with 0001. I think the DC-2 was introduced in 90 or 91 and made till 98.

But seriously, it would seem we can narrow it down to 90-98? Mesa don't have any info on serial numbers.
