Hi!

I bought a MESA/Boogie STUDIO PREAMP, which has the black EQ (i also saw grey-blue EQs  ).

The serial says: SP3194 :?:

So does anyone knows when my Studio was built :?:

And if its unpossible finding out the specific year:

In which years have the Studios been built?

Thank you very much

Chris, from Germany :D

hi, I've got a studio pre too. If you open the chassis and look at the circuit board you should find the date of its production. Mine says April '90 and serial number is 5000+ (I'm not at home now so I can't say exactly). Mine's got the dark grey-ish/blu-ish EQ.

you can see the date slightly on the right above the lonely big blue capacitor in this pic.

Yey.

After opening my chassis (so many screws  ) I found the year of manufacture.. It says JN (or something like that) 11 1989.

But what me really wonders is that:

Was this EQ intended to be used in a Quad? Is this something special?

:?:

sorry, but what does JN on the board in my Studio Preamp means?

Does it mean JANUARY or JUNE?

I know that it is the date of manufacture but, what does JN mean?? January and June would be possible either!

Help a poor German!!

not sure, but maybe they're the initials of the wiring technician?
good luck with tonight match

Yeah, maybe the 11 means November and JN is just the person's initials...I think it was pretty common at Boogie to label initials on the boards.
