This is my debate i have a recto oversized 4x12...
I bought used with the tolex all ripped looks pretty ugly anways...
I have two options... Either retolex, buy a new grill cloth....and put in any celestion i want..was thinking...G12-h, G12-M, G12EVH, G12-65
The V30's in mine right now are not nice very harsh...
So that will come out to around 600 for everything.
Or sell the cab for 400 and buy a traditonal (sitlleto) 4x12 cab. (That will be around 600$ as well)
Now im not saying i dont like V30's they sound amazing in the mix
But i just dont like them in my cab

So what would you do?

i have a Traditional mesa quad and paired with my mk IV it is one of the best amp sounds i have ever played. Strongly recommend!!!

Well ive noticed that the construction of the cab is alot more important than the speakers but whatever cab i get im going to do with x pattern !
