5 days into the Mark V, I noticed the amp, even when on standby makes this clicking noise coming in from the back side of the head. Sounds VERY MUCH like a electrical relay switching on and off..and sometimes two independent clicking noises happen at the same time. The sound matches that of an UPS switching from Electrical to Battery storage.

I don't hear it that much..or that frequently..after I play it for a while...but on cold start..yes...sir..hear it quite a bit. Thought it was normal until I mentioned it to someone and they suggested it is abnormal for a tube amp to start sounding like a metronome :)

I've contacted Mesa Boogie..and should expect a call back in about 2-3 days...

Any inputs meanwhile?..

ok...Mesa Boogie Called back within 10 minutes of leaving a voice message....
a certian Mike told me that it was completely normal for the MARK V and its all the relays switching on and off depending on the amp channel settings...and not to be confused with the clicking/popping noise that others talk about online.

8) Phew..sigh of relief.
