I have a 1992 Rev F Dual Recto (#635). My absolute favorite setting is with channel 1 set to Orange Hi Gain, with an Xotic EP Booster in front. Sounds WONDERFUL.

BUT, I'm really struggling trying to get a decent clean tone from Channel 2. Is it possible??

I have my Orange set to clean and my Red Cloned to Orange. I can't get a good clean from the Red.

I considered doing that, but I'm not 100% sure that cloning Red to Orange sounds exactly the same as Orange.

Just a passable clean tone to play some 'less than mid-gain' parts. Doesn't need to be crystal clean.

Just needs to be cleaner than rolling back the volume one the dirty channel.

Yeah the orange is pretty decent clean. The problem I have with the red is that I can't get it loud enough without introducing some gain and its just not as bright.

My problem is that I'm using the Orange for Hi Gain, so I'm left with the Red. And, I can't get any kind of clean from the Red channel.

I wish I could clone Red to Green!
