Im looking for any clips of a 50watt Single Rectifier and/or a Rect-o-Verb cause I am currently in the market for either one of them. I would REALLY appreciate if someone could help me out here, I wanna hear what kind of tone they get. Thank you very much!!!

Give me a few days....The only clips I currently have are using a Laptap condenser mic which is really cheezy...I'll try to get my ROV upstairs and record with a real mic...

THank you my good sir, you are kind in doing that. I am really interested in one of these amps, so if you can also give me some experience info on it thatd be great, such as Tone, Versatility, Clarity of notes, and wether or not you recommend it. Thank you very much!

I really like the ROV. The cleans aren't necessarily the best, I felt like the F-50 and the Lonestar were better in that department. But for gain and sustain, the ROV has been the only Mesa I've tried that didn't leave me wanting a pedal in front of it. The F-30 was close but didn't have that Recto sound. I''ve recently put JJ E-34L's, which are a variation of the EL34 tube into my amp and I think I like the lead tone slightly more than the 6L6's. I'll try to give you a good representation of rhythm and lead tones.

Mystic, I;m having trouble recording but try this small clip as starter. Don't know if it's my MIc or PC, but something is giving me grief.

If I remember, it was channel 2 with the modern switch on. I find that when practising at home, the vintage setting sounds better, but with the volume up at band practise the Modern setting cuts thru better. I'm still tying to get a lead clip, the one I recorded was pretty bad
I just couldn't get a good clear recording. I've been so used to using a Vox Tonelab into the PC that I just about forgot how to get a good mic'd sound.

Coolio that sounds good, is that the last channel?

Another Question I gots for you people.......In my dying quest to search for my "true" tone, I have been researching many of the amps in the Mesa lineup, and while i do like the feel of the Recto, I feel im looking more for a natural-yet-heavy-sounding amp more like a heavy ass overdrive.
When i tried out the Rectifiers i felt they do have that heavy ass sound to them, but they dont give me that nice clear sound. I dont know i cant really explain it, I heard some clips on here somewhere of someone's F-30 and one of the channel sounds he got was pretty much nailing it. But I want it to be in a head form of some sort, do you think the marks or any other one can give me a sound like that, im talkin strum a G and hearin clearly when there is a lot of overdrive! THanks Folks!!

Edited: As a matter of fact here is the clip http://www.cs.uta.fi/~al76016/mp3/Stereo_Crunch.mp3

If you can hear the actualy tone of it, notice how its a pretty good blend of heavy and clear?

i guess the mids on the channel and V on the eq plus emg's in a mahongany body did the trick, because other than that the settings are like you said straightforward. very cool

if you seek a really clear tone for open chords then research on ac/dc. all hr plays is overdriven open chords and they dont sound muddy at all. plus he plays an SG Gibson like you

No people you have this all wrong, The Clip I showed you was not recorded by me, its from another thread here on the board, I was merely using it as a reference.

Mustic, I have to fess up, that was recorded using my Vox Tonelab (The BEST modeler in the business BTW for true tube tone and more importantly...tube feel). My ROV gets great sounds at loud volumes but really struggles in the living room for high gain tones. I either need to get an F-30 or live with the fact that I have a live rig and a practise rig 8)
