CAN I RUN 4 6L6 IN A MARK 3 IN SIMUL CLASS?

Is it OK to run 4 6L6 in a Mark III in Simul-class?
I checked it out with all 6L6 and like the tone better than the mix of tubes, but not sure if it is cool to do so. Thanks Fish.

Somewhere at the end they talk about the use of EL34 in the outer sockets or all 6L6.

Bought mine MKIII from a professional Blues Musician, who used for almost 20 years with only 6L6.

In the manual it says it is recommended to run el34s in the outer sockets as the newer 6L6s are different to the older ones and are't as reliable.
You can still run 6L6s but they might wear out quicker.

Just wondering because I don't know if the outside is hotter all the time or just in "Class A"

When I have 6l6s in the outer slots, i notice a lot more noise in the background. the bias is radically different on the outer slots, and the outer slots are in Class A all of the time, atleast thats what I got from the manual. I feel like you will benefit more with EL34s. I put some NOS Groove Tube el34s in mine, with the bright red paint on them, wow does it sound good. Mesa 6l6s, perfect combo.
