Buying the correct power tubes

Hey there guys,

I'd like to order some JJ 6L6GC's for my 82 60 watt s.o.b. The thing is.. i know there is no bias adjustment on these amps. Does anyone know what reading needs to be within what range, so i can tell the tube vendor? They said it shouldnt be a problem selecting a set that meets Mesa's specs... as long as i can come up with the specs.

According to Mesa, anything equal to Groove Tube's 4, 5 or 6 rating is in range. This makes a good starting reference. I have used GT el34 rated #5 and they work perfectly in a Stiletto. As all Mesa ratings are consistent, it should be no different for your amp.

Also most "major" tube suppliers will know what Mesa amps take.
