Boominess?...

I've been having some trouble with excess basson my Stiletto Deuce. Never did anything out of the usual, just all the sudden, boom! Tried two les pauls, one with stock Gibsons, one with EMG 81. Same thing. Maybe tubes problems? I have it on silicone diodes enabled if that makes a difference.

channel 2, on fluid, and yes, i have to have fluid for enough clean gain

Its the second channel on fluid drive. And sometimes people say i need to try the other modes, but i have to have fluid. haha

Whenever my power tubes go to **** they turn bassy, muddy, and loose all the top end responce and harmonics.

I changed 1 tube on my stiletto and it made a big difference removing a lot of the muddyness. the tube was the first preamp tube v1. I havent changed all yet but i m fairly certain it will tighten up that mode....how much im not sure. Volume also help it from getting muddy and lowering the bass.
