Hey -

I'm looking to complicate my rig even more. :p

I used to have a MarkIV, but sold it, because I was using it for just one channel (and I wasn't really utilizing it's features).

I'd like to blend the dirty tone of a MarkIV with my Dual Recto.

What other Boogies can get close to that distortion? Mark II? Mark III? (stripe?)

Thanks in advance!

Lance

This isn't the busiest board on the web, it might be a few days to get a response to some questions.

I have a a Dual Rec, F-30, and Mark IV. I have played most Mesa models and I don't really think that any of them are really half way in between the DR and Mark IV lead tones. The F Series may be close depending on the lead tone flavor you are looking for. The distortion is smoother (somewhat like the Mark series), but is has more aggressive mids with warm low mids and a looser thump (somewhat like a Recto)
