Hi
I was just given a Quad of Sylvania STR-387's to try out in my MKIV
by a good friend who is a bit of a tube collector.
He has a great knowledge of many amps , but unfortunatley not about the Boogie MKIV

Im pretty usless when it comes to technical stuff so I am worried they might not be right for the MKIV.

what I need to know before I put them in my amp ?

He tested them for me & they tested the following
Two were *074 & 076*
And the other two are *102 & 100* Im assuming thats Milliamps ?

After reading stories about guys using wrong tubes has me worried
Are thers ok ?

A bit too far apart for me, but you may be able to use the 100ma's in the 6L6 sockets and the 74-76's in the EL34 sockets. A bias probe is in order to see what they draw at -51 and -39ma in the MK IV.

Great tubes...

Those numbers are useless without knowing FOR SURE what they are related to.

I hate to assume anything 8)

Sorry Im lost when in comes to this topic
Do you think they will do any damage to the amp if I wack them in ?
