I need some help. My Blue Angel started to make some crackeling noise that really got worse, In Norway there's a few that can fix Mesa's so I tried the best one. But this time he gave up. Said the issue was the "mojo box"/ "black box". How can this be solved? Anyone had this problem? I'm not ready to retire a great amp.

What does that mean? The transformer? If so, you can replace it.

There's very little to go on and more information is needed.
The amp has a component/components covered in epoxy. I don't know what it is. Some seems to know what it is according to what I google. Not sure about .. But how can I get that replaced/fixed. No one in Norway can appearently.

Ahh yes I see now. It's called the Mojo Module. Give that a google and you'll find a million threads on it.

It's something to do with buffering the FX loop and it can be bypassed. It can also be replaced, but for that the part needs to come from Mesa.

The in, out, and workings of the module are as per the Maverick schematic. So looking there would answer some questions about how to either replace or bypass the module.

The maverick doesn't have the mojo module, as far as I know. There is no black box covering it or any epoxy on all of the gut shots I have seen, and there is no listing for it on the schematic. The blue angel schematic does list the mojo module, which to my understanding was pretty much a Mesa 5 band EQ circuit set to center all the way across.

it does, it's just discrete.

What serial number Blue Angel do you have?

Why do you suspect the mojo module?

With respect to the mojo module - 90% or more of everything you will find on the internet (forums, youtube) is speculative nonsense, typically perpetuated by "Amp techs" who are unable to comprehend circuits that aren't Fender.

In any event if it is the mojo module, you can email Mesa Support for a $25 replacement. That's what I did in October 2021 and they sent me a tiny replacement board and instructions.

I so wish the mods would create a separate Blue Angel section as there is a significant amount of useful information that could be shared and collated there.

I understand that 90% of all the traffic on this board is related to Mesa amplifiers with high gain preamps and newer offerings and this is the first Blue Angel post in 6 months - but perhaps having a section for this amp would help that.

Items like these could be shared for review and input.

Dude... the OP said it in the first post. The tech he took it to said:

"...the issue was the "mojo box"/ "black box".

Serial number... I guess I have to demount the amp? It isn't visible from the ourside.. I suspect the module cause the tech guy said it had to be. He found nothing wrong elsewhere. Not able to find any Mesa representative here in Norway.

Serial isn't that important now that I understand better what occurred. Just in case you ever need it, it should be next to the little fan and reverb tank RCA input/output under the chassis. You don't have to take it apart.

In the post above, I attached an image of the small circuit board that replaces the entire Mojo Module that is also common to Subway Blues.

I emailed Mesa Boogie and asked for a replacement for my Mojo Module in case it ever malfunctioned. This little board is what they sent me, along with instructions on how to install.

Here's the email exchanges between myself and Mesa and invoice from Mesa.

This is how I ordered it from Mesa.

Couple notes:
1) I haven't installed the replacement - my mojo module is working fine. I simply wanted a replacement just in case.
2) I don't know if the people I emailed are still at Mesa - but you could start with a telephone call to support.

Hope this helps.
