Im looking for a way to run and control preferably via midi, My modded pre500 two channel recto and another head eaither my diezel vh4 or my modded 5150II Does anyone have any ideas. I would like to be able to switch between the channels on both heads via a midi foot controller? Any help would be great.

You modded your pre-500? :?

yes and it was the best thing i ever did. I wouldnt give that thing away for anything. It just rips, Im sending my diezel tom to voodoo to try and due somthing with it because it cant keep up with my recto. Its like my Grail amp, Same thing with the 5150. Any ideas on running them together?

You could get all the channel switching sorted on the recto with an Axess Electronics CFX4 control function switcher.

What mod did you get?

Get a switchblade. Most flexibility than you could ever imagine. Esp if you have lots of pedals and FX.

Please tell us what mode you got ?? i own 2 pre-500, a C and a D and i'm curious about what you had done and the improvements you got from it

So... you want to also mod your diezel? Aren't those like $4k amps? If I had one and couldn't get the sound I wanted, I would sell it and find something for about 1/4 the price that does have the sound I want...

I got a voodoo deluxe mod. They replaced the transformer and did a few mods on the circuit. The amp rips. Removes fuzzy/buzzynes yet keeps the amps tonal charactoristic, It just enhances it. Makes bottom end tighter, And it breaks through the mix perfectly. I cant go on enough about voodoo amps. I drop tune to b, And most amps suck at handling it, But this thing is the best amp i have ever heard. Im looking for another pre500 to have done, Its so good i sent My diezel over there today i should have it back in a week or so.

Check out the VooDoo Labs GCX and Ground Control Pro. With that many amps you will definitely need 2 GCXs.

589$ for deluxe mod...did he send you back the old trannys? with all this talk you gots me thinking of sending my 97trip to get the voodoo! can you change it back to original specs if wanted??

Well you can send the amp back to voodoo and they will put it back to spec's for you.

Go on and mod as many pre-500s as possible. That way the value of other pre-500 amps will go up
Not that I will sell mine

To me its not about the value, Its about the sound ive been looking for. If you get my drift. I almost tempted to get a not pre500 recto and try it out and see how its sounds. But for 500 in change its a scary project you know.
