Well I was wanting to know the best way to run two triple rectifiers with one guitar signal meaning no A/B. I have 4 recto 4x12's 2 rectifiers and a line 6 m13 midi pedal that I want to run in stereo. Any help would be much appriciated. Thanks

If your line 6 has a stereo out you can just run the L and R lines out of the pedal and into the two heads. Connect each head to two cabs and you are good to go. That is a lot of fire power you have there!

I have tried that and it works fine untill I need to switch channels from clean to dirty or vice versa I was needing more of utilizing one as a power amp.

If the L6 pedal can do the 4 cable method thing...

1) Guitar -> L6 pedal

2) L6 Pedal -> Master Amp (pick one)

3) Master Amp effects loop send -> L6 Pedal

4) L6 Pedal Stereo Out (Left) -> Master Amp FX Loop Return
4) L6 Pedal Stereo Out (Right) -> Slave Amp FX Loop Return

Geez, who's your drummer? King Kong? You should tell him to put way the railroad ties and buy some proper drumsticks like maybe some 7as or something.

Yes I will have to try this. And I guess ultimately I can run all 4 cabs out one head I suppose.

LOL yes this is at the request of the rest of the band. I am happy running one stack because I have my tone dialed in and I have hooked both stacks up to one head but it just sucks my tone thats why I want to utilize both heads to even out the power and the master volume on one stack is only @ 9-10 o clock with the channel volume at 11 o clock they just want a big sound so........................... and yes he is a hard hittin son of a #$%^$

Can't you go from the slave out on the first head into the second? I think you might be able to use the effects return on the second head to bypass the preamp but I'm not sure. Definitely check to make sure this is ok with Boogie first.

I don't have any experience running a two amp setup but many guys who do that run a different amp for each side. Say a Marshall TSL100 for one stack and a triple Recto for the other. If you are into metal, perhaps a Triple and a Peavey 6505/ Bogner Ubershall / ENGL Powerball etc. would be a sweet combination. If you want a bigger sound, running two different amps will really phatten the tone up like crazy. Oh, I hope you have a roadie. I cannot possibly comprehend wheeling in 4 4 x 12s and two heads for every gig! I bet soundmen LOVE you!

Hmm, 4 4 x 12s with one head? How do you have that wired? I guess series parallel for 8 ohms total impedance? If I was running 4 cabs, I'd run 4 greenback cabs so I was only running 400watts worth of handling power vs 960watts. It would sound less constipated that way. Marshall cabs are also lighter ;) The doublestack solution sounds great and you can always run 2 halfstacks for 'smaller' venues. OLOL!! I'd LOVE to hear this live, it would be EPIC!

Normally you'd go from the slave out of the master amp to the FX loop return of the slave amp, however he want's to use his effects in stereo so it's better to do it via the method I described above.

=-o Of course! I don't have any experience running more than one head at once, and two halfstacks no less. Seems like overkill unless you have a force of nature for a drummer like he does!

Haha Yellowjacket yep it sounds big just with one stack let alone two. You can check us out if you would like http://www.myspace.com/stmadness. And screamingdaisy thanks for the direction thats exactly what I am looking for post effect signal to 2nd amp through the fx return Im so thank full for the internet.

Hey Thanks Spawns. Well I tried it out and I guess what Im looking for is not possible. Amp 1 distortion through m13 into amp 2, Im not wanting to use the m13's distortion and going from clean to dirty is a problem anymore suggestions. lol I guess Im stuck with one amp : (

I thought you needed a special license, permit, and a signed waiver from the governor to operate more than one triple recto at a time.

when I went to a cannibal corpse concert a couple weeks ago, Both guitarists were running a blackface triple recto through 4 4x12's. The Sound they had from the rectos was amazing. but the drummer was drowned out with the recto's.
