what is the best pedal you've used to simply increase the volume of your amp (for solos for example)? So many do it well when using a clean channel, but when using a distorted/compresed signal, I haven't found one that really takes the volume up a good notch.

the solo button on Stiletto is perfect. But with other amps without that feature what do I use?

Laskyman gave you another answer in his signature. an MXR 10 band graphic EQ can be used as a "stomp pedal" and set to boost your volume -- and change your tone as well if you wish.

MXR Micro Amp. Best boost out there.

I had a revelation this week that all of you may or may not know about already. But since I don't have a solo switch any longer having sold my Stiletto and DR, & I need something to raise the volume for solos, on dirty channels I found boost pedals before the amp just hit the front end harder, and add some distortion and a little volume but not like the Mesa solo switches did which simply increased volume. Well, I have a Boss eq in the loop and it does quite a job of raising the volume with the level set just about flat. Duh...
