Anyone use one or have tried one? What should I expect from it?
Where do you put it in the chain??
Just wondering..

I wouldn't waste the money. It's one of those boxes I tried and then removed from my rig. IMO it works great in PA's and stereo systems but not in guitar rigs.

Same opinion here - I have no desire to completely whack out my mids...

I use the rack version (882 or something). Rather, I have the rack version. Hardly use it. I guess it needs a crappy signal to work it's magic. And we don't get crappy signals on our Boogies, dog gone it 8) .

Oh well, couple of hundred bucks wasted. Like someone said though, you could use it in studio recording rack. Works wonders with cheapo PC stuff.

I use one in my rig, I wasnt that thrilled at first, but I wont play with it off if its around, it brings some life to the tone in my opinion.

I bought one of the sonic stomps and ended up returning it. It made little or no difference on my Road King. These units work by correcting phasing problems in an amp. Which, of course, could be caused by many different things, not the least of which is just plain old wear and tear. I tried one through an old and used Carvin Legacy head that I had for a while and it worked miracles. I think it's not really that the BBE's don't work, I think it's just a testament to how good Boogie amps really are...
