Anyone have any issues or no the solution? I bought the amp used and the guy I bought it from didn't like the sound of it. I've had issues with it every since. The distortion just sounds way to muddy... which I've heard many complain about online. That's not the problem, it's that I can't even get a decent clean with slight overdriven sound that is bright enough to sound good. e.g., if I EQ to brighten it up I get this nasty distortion on the notes and if I don't then the whole amp sounds very muddy and dark(there is absolutely no clarity in the sound).

Turn down the bass!

Unfortunately Boogie designs their amps weird and in many cases the bass is unusable over halfway. Turn the bass almost all the way down and slowly increase it until it starts to get flubby.

No, on the clean channel, you won't have a problem with flubby bass. Usually, this nasty sounding distortion is caused by a bad Reverb tube, or PI.
