Has anyone tried these with the Mark V?

I've read a number of reviews from Mark I and various Fender amp owners who love them, but I'm curious if anyone has tried one with the V. It would be neat if this would make Mark I mode play better with the other modes (without having to reconfigure the graphic EQ, for example), or it it allowed one to get a thicker, bassier sound by dialing up the bass EQ knob after cutting bass with this.
I'm not willing to pay $120 new to experiment with it unless I hear someone testifying about how awesome it is, but I might be able to get one used for small change.
