I've listened to these tracks again and I must say that I am still blown away by the ten watt clips. They sound so much better!! And when I'm jamming I can't get in to the ten watt sound.

For comparison...my question is.... while you are recording, how loudly are you recording? IN other words are the guitars being recorded quietly enough that the 90 watt mode isn't being pushed enough? Again I am not knocking the recording at all I am just wondering if a pushed 90 watt version would sound as good or is ten watts always better for recording?

I usually record at 85 to 92 db.

That is surprising to me. 85-92 is fairly low volume and your tone is great. I have not done much recording but I always assumed that when people recorded in a studio the amps were at "11" with the volume screaming. DO you know how large bands like megadeth and metallica run their amps live or recording? Are they typically screaming loud?

Riddle me this Batman:

A piano falls on one of your amp and kills it. Which amp would you prefer survived this horrific event?

As of now, if my other amps were going to survive, I'd throw my Mark V under the piano.

Listened to these clips again and I still love them. I like the comparisons that you do. Out of curiosity do you have the isolated rectifier tracks?

Great clips!

The second round sounds much closer, but the Mark 3 track is still the best, to me, in all the scenarios. The C+ mode sounds a bit too scooped/dark. Maybe you had the sliders down or a preset EQ?
