Are there any revisions of the Solo 50?

I know there are several revisions to the Dual Rectifier amps but are there any revisions of the Solo 50? If there are, what are they?

As far as I know, its Series 1 and Series 2. There are a few differences, but I don't know for sure if they were based off a specific revision of the rectifier circuit, or even if there are different revisions of the Single circuit. Hopefully someone else with more information can chime in.

All I know is I love my Series 2 50. Just got done jamming on it...man it screams!

Cool! Thanks for the reply. A Solo 50 loaded with EL34s was the first recto I ever liked. I may get back into one at some point.

I always liked a lot of Recto tones, but never thought I could get along with one. I was always on the 5150 side, but when mine got stolen I decided to take a stab at a Recto. Didn't need anything more than what the Single offered so I picked one up. Took a little while to come to grips with it, and after trying 6L6's, EL34's, and now KT77's i decided on the KT's for their blend of mids with the 6L6 style lows and highs. A little preamp tube swapping helped as well.

I play mostly metal type stuff, but there are so many tones in that little amp that I feel confident I could play anything I want to. It really changed my mind about Rectos and what they can do.
