anyone using GT-6L6GE? groove tubes reproduction of GE tube

Grovetubes say's "A faithful reproduction of the original General Electric "clear top" tube made on the original GE machines and with many original materials." I'm thinking of retubing with these but was hopeing to get some feedback about them.
 
I had a quad in my RK for quite a while. In fact those or the tubes I sold my RK with. They were really nice tubes. Great headroom. the bass was solid and tight, just right amount of mids and the highs would cut through but, wouldn't over power. They were favorite tubes in the RK and a friend of mine has a quad in his Roadster also.

Thanks for that, i just have to figure out what Goovetube #. In my MKIV I had to go with GT #7 or above.
 
Stay between 4 and 6 if you want it to be within Mesa's specifications for current draw. Myles Rose has mentioned that you can get by with a GT #7 as well.
