check it out:) not sure if you can see his settings that clear though. Enjoy!

Hey man, I don't know Mark Morton's exact settings, however, I have a Mark IV set up right now that I think is getting an amazing LOG sound, you can hear for yourself here in my youtube video:

I even took a picture of my Mark IV settings, instead of typing them out, and I always have a hard time explaining the active EQ settings, figured it was easier to just take a pic and let you see for yourself. Mind you I am using active EMG 81's, so I have the head set accordingly, depending on your pickups and such you may need to tweak a bit. But let me know what you think of the video, and if this works for ya!

I am in Tweed Power, Lead Gain and Lead Presence are OUT and the drive is IN. Im running the switches Mid Gain, Class A, and Pentode. Give it a shot and let me know how it works for ya, I can't seem to get enough of this tone. Cheers bud.

Hey man, nice settings. Now Im upset with mine haha, looks like the tone search continues.

Thanks bro, I am definately digging my tone right now. Don't get mad at your Mark!!! Just remember, half the fun of pleasure of owning a Mark IV is all the different sounds it can make, and exploring those sounds. You should be happy to be upset with yours, if that makes any sense...because it's when you get bored is when you start wanting something else. That's my absolute favorite thing about my Mark IV, everyday I can play it, and if I get sick of a tone there are 100's more with just a few little knob turns, it never gets boring. Thanks for the kind words, if you find some good settings be sure to share!!! Dont be greedy! :)

I've seen his exact settings posted on another forum before from a guy that talked to Morton about them. I'll see if I can find them for you (it was probably HCAF).

Edit: here's the threads I was thinking of (unfortunately the pic of the original poster's settings isn't working anymore):

This thread might help too (has a pic of Willie's settings):

Fresh off the new Guitar Player issue in the mail today. Here is a picture of Mark Morton's Mark IV settings. They are written along the top of the head too from left to right:

8.5 7.9 3 7.5 7.5 5.5 5 2

Actually, those are Willie's settings, funny thing in the artical too is they get Willie's and Mark's names messed up. Anyhow, Mark uses dual heads and they have the brown grille, and Mark's are medium heads, Willie uses one short head. Willie's tone is much darker than Mark's. Its funny I actually logged onto the site to post that same pic you just did, and you beat me to it. Ive been looking for Mark's settings for ages. I can get something that is close by ear, but I would love to know his exact settings. I've even considered joining their fan club to get an E-mail address to try and see if they would give them up ) BTW, those settings are badass regardless, but they are not Mark's.

If you go to LoG's myspace and look at the videos to the left, click on drum cam, then you see one of the members actually get a great close up of the EQ settings and Output level. The close up of the first Mark IV in the video actually looks identical to Mizati20's picture. Quality of the video sucks but here's the second.

Sweet find, as I said my tone is close, but that's just to my ear, seems Mark is definately running more mids than I am, however, he uses passive pickups, and without the capability of running the dual heads as he does, one with the mids scooped and one with them boosted, and without his compressors and such, perhaps we will never be able to plug into an amp with Mark's exact settings :( Very good find tho! Thanks for the post!
