I'm pretty much going to let the LSS go. I love the tone of it, but I think I want a little more gain in the Lead channel. Plus, the reverb delay is really making me angry. It's a tiny thing, but somehow, it is bothering the crap out of me.

I've been looking at all of the Mesa amps, and it seems like the Maverick is fairly close to the LSS, with a little more gain and no solo function.

I also had a Tremoverb for a while and it was a great amp too.

These are the 2 that I'm looking at.

There's one for sale near me in Santa Cruz (saw it recently on Craigslist).

I don't know if he would ship it, but you could ask.

ToneAddictJon described the Maverick's tone very well a while ago for me but I don't recall his exact words. I'd PM him!

What kind of gain could I expect from a Maverick?

Well, I've had a Mark III for many years, and swear by it. Got a Mk IV, and swear at it.
My Maverick is a 1 x 12, and the high gain sounds are closer to the III than the Four. Looser, not as compressed. But mids similar to a III, maybe even slightly more complex. Less bottom 'cause of the EL-84s (vs. the 6L6s), and not quite the balls-to-the-wall gain of the Mark III. Works well with O/D pedals in front. Cleans up better than the III when you back off the guitar volume.
The cleans are Killer. Chimey, Tom Petty-y, Vox-y, Brrrraaannnggg!
I put a 5V4 rectifier in for more sag, and let me just say that sag is highly addictive (in amps, not boobs).
I am now trying to run both the Mav and the III together, for the sound of EL-84s, EL-34s, and 6L6s all together. Yippee.
