any Outlaws/Hughie Thomasson fans?

man, really "listened" to GREEN GRASS AND HIGH TIDES again the other day(i know it gets slagged as one of those 9 minute"I gotta ****" songs a dj throws on....by some,at least...)-what a monster tone the late HT got from that Strat-"monster" in a totally different realm than what we usually think of....its the Tony Iommi of clean tones...its brutal, man!!!I have found that he used the middle position between the bridge and mid pup of a strat as his guitar grail...wondering what amp he used on the recording?its twangy, but HUGE...looked at some youtube stuff..hard to tell what his rig is...see ampegs,old Marshalls,etc....wondering if anyone out there knows specifics/or any fans of the man and his stuff..really digging it

That would be great....I was an Outlaws fan since back when they first came on the scene.

I was happy for Hughie when he got the gig with Skynyrd.

He will be missed!

he is a monster,esp. playing so damn loud and clean!!!I got close today with my Tom Anderson tele and a C+ pumped thru some ev's.....the windows just might be broken
