Any of you use a Y Split cable with your G Major/Mark IVs?

I've been told that most Mesa Amps can't take a Y-Splitter cable with G Majors because of Grounding issues.

On the TC Electronic website it doesn't mention Mark IVs, so are they ok?

Basically, I'd be hooking my G Major up via the Y Splitter, then having it in the Effects loop, and running a G Minor to the Major with MIDI cables.

Oh I'll be using the Voodoo Lab GCX and Ground Control some day, but I can't afford £700 just yet.

Switching the Mark IV works fine with a Y-splitter. I use it with my G-Major.

This method can't be used with Mesa models that don't have isolated ground connections for the switching jacks:
