The Hamer Museum page has a HUGE topic about it. According to Jol Dantzig all is well so rest easy. There are big price increases coming but those were on their way anyway.

No sweat. I have but one Hamer as of now but I am dying to get my hands on a Talladega and a Newport one of these days. The Newport was the first Hamer I ever played when they first came out and I was sold. The Talladega is just a must have for me.

I have a feeling I will be selling my lefty Jackson PC-1...and soon....

I wouldn't bet on that. I am a huge Hamer USA fan, but IMHO the PC-1 might just be the best shredder guitar ever made. I have owned all of the Hamer shredders, including many Calis. I have also owned many Jacksons, including several custom jobs as well as a PC-1. IMHO the nod goes to Jackson in that style of guitar, but only slightly. What really kills about the Hamer guitars is that you can pick them up seriously cheap on the used market. The Cali is the most expensive, but rarely goes over 1K. The Chaperral(sp?) is next at around $750 for a clean set neck version. The steals can be found with the Diablo and Centaura. They are killer guitars, handmade in the US with fit and finish that rivals anything out there and they can be had for around $500.

Of all of the guitars I have owned, the Jackson PC-1 is the best of the super strats. Killer guitar that I *will* own again.

I have played a couple PC-1 models, really nice....but they didnt do a thing for me personally.

I like the fact that you can get old used American made Hamers for so little.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh... I feel faint...

Man I tried everything in the world to get Guitarget to come of that overpriced HB Vintage S they have on their site. They simply won't budge. Well, they did a hair, but not enough for me to jump.

No, theirs is $1599 and after "a talk with the manager" they graciously came off $100.

I want a Vintage S, but not that badly.

Oh. I know which one you're talking about. That is a nice quilt on that one! I thought Guitarget was a store. I couldn't google it. Now I know, Guitarget/Guitar Center. Got it! LOL.

boogietone, those are all veeeerrah niiiice!!I am really impressed with the quality of the Cali so far...the neck is ridiculous in terms of mph...built for speed, that is fo sho-I usually play everything tuned down 1/2 step-I have this in standard and it feels like my others
I think I will be visiting the hamer fan club, Lockbody-I am a fan now-thanks for the advice guys

I have a'05 Korina Vector and a '91 Californian. Will try to take some photo's. Both sound great through the MKVI.

Thanks for the compliments. Hamer quality is very good. And Cali's are sweet. Someday I will have one.
