I'm traveling this week. Spent a couple of days in Portland and took a trip around the Mt. Hood Scenic Loop.

On a guitar note I am now in Sacramento. Stopped in GC and tried a VHT Pitbull 50/CL - kind of fun and a Soldano Slo 100. Really liked the Slow but not the price tag. Of all the amps I've tried, it really reminded me of the older 2ch DR's.

Stopped in Northridge Music. The Mesa dealer near Sacramento. They had the biggest collections of boogies I've seen in one place. No Mark IV. If less than two hours away from Petaluma doesn't carry them...I give up!

You've got the sickest job, Dave. Travel around the USA and try out amps while getting to see views like these. Which one would you say the SLO was closer to? 29 or 339?

It's been to long since I've played either I really couldn't say. With the price tag on the SLO, it had better sound like the older 2ch's!

The VHT was kind of cool to. It was through a crappy crate cab. Would have like to heard through a nicer cab, prefreably a Mesa.
