I am looking to shrink my space a bit. I am going to sell off my old .50 caliber half stack and want to replace it with a 2x12 combo. I am still metal at heart, but also love blues, jazz, and good ol' rock n roll. What current or recent series by Mesa is great at deep overdrive, but can be very warm when clean? I am looking for tone first, versitility second, but both are important to me. I haven't looked at amps in a long time, so I appreciate your input.

Could a moderator move this over to the general board for newer Mesa's. I put it in the rectifier series by mistake.

ROADSTER WITHOUT A DOUBT MY GOD WHAT AN AMP FUDGE YEAH CAPS LOCK

Seriously, it's god's own amp in terms of perfect balance between versatility, functionality, and tone. Though apparently has a channel switching delay problem!

Actually the Roadsters are built with that delay to curb the loud pop noise heard between channel changes sometimes. Its a trade off really to protect your speakers. The roadster is a massive head but I would think about if your really going to use all that it has to offer. Seriously, its very expensive and you might not need Mesa's next to top of the line Rectifier. Something to think about.

I may not be able to utilize all the roadster has to offer. I am not one to take enough time to figure everything out. What would be a next in line. At the very least I need a great clean channel for Jazz/blues, and a deep metal crunch (love the dual rectifier sound). 2x12 combo is also a must have.

OR....they could've just had it switch like it's supposed to and tell people to cycle through the channels a few times to eliminate the static buildup.

Sounds like the Tremoverb 2x12 is what your looking for. Mine is for sale in the classified section. Cleans, blues, and 2 channel DR mayhem in a 2x12 combo, not to mention reverb and tremolo.

I'll 100% +1 that, and I'm not even selling one

I was originally looking at the tremoverb. The only issue I have now is that I need to move my half stack to fund it and to prove to the wife that I will actually part with it before I bring in a new piece. I am still too new to post it here yet. How quickly do the older Boogie's move on this board? Should I try flea-bay or Craigslist, or will I get better response here?

you only need ten posts to post in classified, you're good to go.
craigslist can be nice because you avoid shipping and can do a face to face transaction, however you will encounter endless scammers and tire kickers.
ebay can be a good resource you just have to account for the fees, about 3% to paypal and the same to ebay

This is by far the best place to deal Mesa gear.

Even so, that doesn't mean you need to use all the modes in the Roadster. I would still recommend getting one...
