Hi,

I have been using Dual Rectifier with TC Electronics G-Major in the effects loop. I was using a Y-splitter cable for channel switching as I wanted to use all 3 channels on my amp and TC Electronics had only one output for channel switching. I did have some problems on my amp and it turned out to be a problem on the switching mechanism. Based on my research, it seems like TC Electronics processors are not compatible with Dual Rectifiers and I think using Y-splitter cable may be the reason of my problems.

Now my amp is fixed but I don't want to recreate the problem again. And I still want to use all 3 channels on my amp. So, i am shopping around for a multi-effects processor that I can use in the effects loop of my Dual Rec, and be able to use all 3 channels. It probably means 2 amp switching outputs. Any recommendations?

Thanks for your time

I would keep the G Major and buy the RJM amp gizmo and then you are totally sorted. (I'd also mod my loop to series, sounds alot better imo with the G Major).

Agreed... if you like the GMajor the amp gizmo or even rg-16 would be the ticket. Both offer the programming and switching capabilities you're after, and if you also want signal routing capabilities the rg-16 is where its at.

One thing to consider that i picked up from another forumite (JohnBoogie) is a rack mixer. Makes things sound a lot better, keeps the signal more pure and with the right rack mixer you dont have to deal with the quality of the gmajors ad/da converters effecting the overall tone in a negative way.

Also if you want to upgrade your fx i highly recommend both the fractal axe-fx and eventide eclipse if you're willing to drop that kind of dime.

Thanks guys!

I was also told that the Voodoo Lab GCX Guitar Audio Switcher and its controller solves my problem but that is a very pricey solution :-/

I think I am going to try Amp Gizmo. It probably will be the cheapest and less complicated solution.

What midi controller are you using? I have a Behringer FCB1010. Voodoo lab techs told me that it would limit the features of the GCX, I am wondering if it would limit the features of Amp Gizmo as well.

Thanks!

Emi
