It goes to show these can still be had at a good price......

That is a matter of opinion. With all the changes / missing parts I don't think that is a particularly good price. That thing has been ridden hard and put away wet....

I would have paid that for the parts, but I would have killed the SOB for the Shanghai if it were bogus. In this case, it was a happy accident.

Well I got a chance to actually sit down and play the amp and it is just amazing. I didn't even try to dial it in and this thick smooth sound came out. No doubt about it, it is a keeper. If ugly had anything to do with the tone of this thing I am going out and buying a case of orange spray paint and upgrade my other amplifiers. I couldn't be happier. Best $1300 I have ever spent on this type of stuff. FYI

$1300 for a non + "C" (s/n 11858) in that condition?
