While I was recording ElectraDyne clips this weekend, I took a few to record a short clip featuring the Lonestar Special. While I'm normally a humbucker-kinda guy, there's something about the LSS that plays so nice with single coils...

Fantastic gritty sound that sits so sweet in the mix.

Sometimes I ponder how much time is put in to finding that perfect guitar tone but will it work in the mix. A lot of the great guitar sounds/songs have raw ugly guitar sounds as a stand alone thing but in the context of the song/band sound smokin.

Great band, great work.
