Yesterday I invited a friend to try out the Mark V.
He is a musician and quite knowledgeable in MESA amps, since he has owned a Dual Rectifier for quite sometime.
When he started playing in channel 3 (either in the Mark IV or Mark II C+ modes) he was amazed, but when I turned it up with 45 and 90 wtts. mode, he literally was screaming like he was on a roller coaster. He simply couldn´t believe HOW COOL it sounded, and how amazing the gain is in this amp.
The cool thing was that it only took 45 seconds for 4 neighbors to call complaining about the noise the amp was making. Which can only mean one thing: THIS BABE KICKS MAJOR ASS.
So, to make a short story, even shorter, my friend thanked me for ruining his life, and he has already put his dual Recto for sale, in order to fund the purchase of a Mark V.
Gotta love these beasts
