So, one of my 8 pin DIN cables just died.
Running an ohm meter to test, I found one of the pins lacks continuity.
No nicks or cuts in the cable, both are Mesa bought.

Ever seen a cable fail like this?
 
yes,

if you've used for long time and bended and twisted or maybe stomp on it (with no intention to broke it, maybe some very rocking live :) ), can happen that the copper wires inside gone broken and you lost continuity

All the time.

The main cause in my experience is from wrapping cables tightly. Particularly that silly looping the cable around the palm of the hand and elbow.

I guess I'm getting another cable.
Think I can get the same 8 pin DIN at a local Fry's?
