I tried this Optional jack last night and was very surprised. The owner's manual said it would have a little more midrange punch and they are right. It sounded more balanced in all the wattage (5, 15, 30) positions. Does anyone else have success using this 8 Ohm jack?

I use it all the time. Every once in awhile when trying new settings I'll try the 4 Ohm but quickly go back to 8 as it seems to take the muddiness out without having to crank the treble up too much

Yeah, 8 ohm all the time for me as well. I have gigged with the 4 ohm jacks a lot and always go back to the 8 ohm. Just seems to have more clarity and is more balanced through the EQ. The extra headroom sure isn't bad either!

I use it when in 30w mode, which is most of the time. I like the extra headroom and it seems to have a quicker/more solid response.

If I'm in 5 or 15w modes I use the 4ohm.
