I did these short clips cause some player on another forum was interested to hear what the Allen mod did to a Bassman amp. I thought I'd post this for anyone interested. The clips are on my son's sounclick page. Here's the link.

Cool Texsunurst59: :D

But I get the impression on this bulliten board most members are NOT into guitar tube amps with mild break up like old Fenders or old Marshalls.

They're into "massive" overdrive, metallic sounding which is all good and fine but if you are raised up with guitar tube amps like me and you and few members here, is appreciative these smaller tubes amps tone gives you.

I'm planning to get another Allen kit, likely the "Brown Sugar" which basically Fender tweed era w/ added presence control but with Black Face reverb. Then of course Allen's "surprise" RAW control so you don't need pedal for that extra grind. :p

You're right RR, I know this but the Fender Princeton Reverb circuitry was the basis of the first modded Boogie. Fender is Boogies heritage so they're related just like Marshall is related to Fender because of the Tweed Bassman circuitry. You gotta like Fenders as the grandaddy of Marshall and Boogie. :D
