I have an old (1982) SOB and I have a buncha old tubes.
I want to know what the different tube sockets are?
It has 2X 6L6s
and two 12s
Is the 12 socket to the right looking in the back wthout removing anything V1?
Does anyone have a manual or such like for this particular version of this amp? . . . this is NOT the newer MK-1 reissue!
and is NOT the 100W version,
and the manual that is available on the Mesa site is not right for this amp . . .
This amp has only the 2 6L6s and 12xx7 sockets, and it has the tone . . . oh yeah, I forgot to say that; I can't see where they put it by lookng in the back but its gotta be there somewhere, the 'tone', cause it sure flies out in buckets!!
Also, while I'm at it: can I pop in 6v6s to try out how they would sound . . or is that a big no-no?
Would it hurt the amp?
