Thinking about doing this with my Recto & 2x12. I kind of hate having it pointed at my feet, and I don't like putting my head on the floor.

I Peavey amp stands to get my 2X12's up off of the floor a bi and tilt back, but that's a great idea right there!

I love the look of them, but I find the sound too ice-pick/death beam when the speakers are pointing right at my ears like that. I prefer to lift the cab up but keep it horizontal, so it's more at waist/low chest (I'm short!) height. You may want to invest in some Beam Blockers as well.

Or maybe it's just that Fender Twins are a bit too ice-picky anyway... :)

Hey have you found any companies that make kick back legs? I have the recto-verb 112 combo and i love it. Its a real tank and has never let me down. I am thinking about installing removeable casters and tilt back legs but wanted something different. Thought about maybe making my own but am low on ideas. Any help is appreciated.

fwiw, I've been running my LSS with just the front casters. It means I have to remove the danged things before every show, and put em on to go home, but I get just enough tilt that way. I've played plenty of Fenders w/tilt back legs - could never stand it, as others have said - the sound is as bad as having the amp/speaker at head level. No thanks.

This is what I ended up doing, only in my case it's a Mark V head on a Recto 2x12. Leaving the front casters on gives just enough of a tilt, and between the heads rubber feet and the weight it's never shifted.
