I used my bluestripe Mark III on top of my vert rectocab several times. Didn't have any problems. The recto 2x12 is pretty stout and I never had any worries about my combo falling off - the top of the rectocab has a larger footprint than a widebody combo does anyway, IIRC (it's a little deeper)

That would be fine for sure, but I think it would be overkill since he probably bought a combo for a specific reason if I had to guess?

I don't see how it'd be overkill if that's what he wants. The Recto Vert cab sounds different than a 1x12. I am going to run my combo (a) by itself, (b) with my thiele, and (c) with my 4x12 depending on how big the rig needs to be.
Gizzorge said:I wanted the portability of a combo. I was looking around for a good stand to get it up off the ground, then the idea of a smaller closed back cabinet crossed my mind. A little tighter sound, more push, and to get it up off the ground a little. I play in a small room right now, and have to stand at the opposite end to really enjoy the V tone.
