Hi guys,

I will be receiving my triple recto soon and i need a cab for it. I'm currently looking for a budget vintage 30s speaker 2x12 cab and the blackstar artisan 2x12 is one of my choice. But it's a 120watt cab and my head will be 150watt which is higher than my cab. A 4x12 will be overkill.
Will it blow the speakers or it depends on the sensitivity of the speakers? thanks !
Recommendations and advice are welcomed.

I currently use an avatar 2X12 with 2 vintage 30's(120 watt cab as well) with my three channel triple rec. Ive been using it for a good few years at shows and rehearsal and havent hurt a speaker yet. Just dont get too carried away with the volume and you will be safe. There arent many situations where you need to utilize all of the volume that this head has to offer....so I dont find myself very often having to be careful because im starting to turn up to "dangerous" levels.

Most sound guys in most venues would probably have a fit at me long before I turned up quite enough to start blowing my speakers, so dont sweat it too much.

greg_moreira > ok cool. I will stick with that configuration. thanks alot.

ryjan > hahah. Im staying with my gf. Definitely overkill.
