2c+ tones in a road king, or any lead tone

Ill be testing some guitars tomorrow, and wanted to know some settings for great lead tones. santanaish, 2c+, vai, johnson, sorta thing. any help would be great. thanks!

Bring your favorite OD pedal. I find the RK needs a little help in getting those killer lead tones and sustain.

Santana's tone can be nailed exactly. Maybe add a little delay to get Eric's tone.

Right now, the RK is at Mesa getting upgraded/fixed. When I get it back, I'll dial it in & let you know.
