I have a 1995 2-channel Triple Rectifier with the serial loop mod. When I run the amp in the "Rectifier" mode there's normal hissing. (It's a high gain amp so that's expected) When I flip the switch to "Silicon Diodes" I get an electrical buzz in addition to the hiss. NOTE: I'm just running the guitar straight into the front and a single 1/4" cord going from the Send to the Return of the effects loop. It happens even if I bypass the effects loop. I have switched out BOTH cables with the same result. I have also tried JJ GZ34 tubes but, they didn't really sound the same as the "Silicone Diode" mode. I'm also using an Art PB 4X4 for power.
Any one else had this problem? Any solutions?
Thanks. James.
