2 channel serial mod loss of volume

Wondering if anybody had a problem after modding your fx loop from parallel to serial a noticeable volume loss. It seems for me I having my channel volumes on 10 and using my fx loop master for main volume and that is cranked at to 7 or 8 to get a good stage volume. I use to set that on maybe 3 and the channel mains were on 3 or 4.. I foloowed the instruction from mesa to mod it correct and it does sound good but wondering where my volume went... any help would be great..

Still have loss of volume.. The mod was just to change the parallel FX to Serial. Also is it possible that I can be overloading my amp when I turn it up loud cause I hear the sound breaking apart...
