2:90 owner

Just picked up a used 2:90 for $350!!
Man I never get deals like that.The A channel fades in and out so
I am going to try a new set of tubes. If not it will go out for repair.
Sweet Jesus it sounds good with my pre.

Wow. Great deal.
For the volume fading in/out, try cleaning all the jacks, cleaning / re-tensioning all tube sockets and then, changing the 12AX7 tubes and

Will do.
I was going to toss in a set of tubes (eurotubes has some good deals). One tube is loose in the socket (need to find out how to do that re-tension thing I guess). If the tubes don't work I will be asking some of you amp heads on what to look for next.

Changing the tubes out shouldn't be your first option. That's gonna get expensive real quick. Do the basics first as outlined in my 1st post to you. I'd also add that you should clean the presence and volume controls with tuner cleaner.
