1st power tube glowing brighter

Hey

Got the 1st gig with our new drummer next week so may be a bit paranoid but I've noticed the 1st power tube on the left looking from the back is glowing a bit brighter than the other 3. It's still orange and looks ok but is noticeably brighter. Is the norm ?

Unless something is glowing red hot, I would not pay too much attention to the brightness of the tube in relation to the others. If everything sounds ok, then everything is fine. A little difference is totally normal.

Hmm...I wouldn't go that far.

If your tube is on the way out, you'll also notice that sometimes it may even barely be lit up compared to the other tubes. I think it's always good to take a peep behind your amp once in awhile to stay ahead of the game.
