I just picked up a nice 1986 Mark III Purple Stripe Head, 60/100 watt version with the export transformer EQ, and reverb and 3 the original pedals and original cover.

Since I cant get Santana's tones on my RKII I decided to pick up a Mark III. Can anyone point me in the right direction getting Carlo's Abraxis' tones.
Any comments on the amp?

plenty of mid's..not to much gain.. this will done on the lead channel.. presence on 0.. push all the brights.. and pull the deep and treble shift..

You can use a pretty good amount of gain, but not heavy metal "scoop" type. Easy on the highs and lows. Carlos also uses his volume and tone knobs a lot to vary the amount of gain, and treble "roll-off" he's famous for. If you've seen him perform, he adjusts those guitar knobs frequently.
