Hello...I have triaxis,290 and g system but mesa boogie speakers are very dear in Ireland..was thinking of making
2 cabs with a single 12 inch in each..can anyone recommend a good speaker for eric johnson type warm tone
and can anyone give me the dimensions of the boogie 1 by 12 cabs that they have...thanks

Most of the cabs specs are on the Mesaboogie website: http://www.mesaboogie.com/Product_Info/Guitar%20Cabinets/GuitarCabinets.html Mesa cabs are made with 3/4" plywood so you can easily back into the inside dimensions.

Also check out the DIY Thele thread. These are easy to build and sound fantastic. I did one in a single weekend.

I highly recommend a 1x12 open back paired with a 1x12 thiele. Sounds fantastic.

Hi

I use triaxis, g-system and 2 thieles with Celestion 90. Handy and great tone.

peace

I built myself a pair of thiele cabs for my Mark IV. I put my amp's stock EVM12L in one and an Eminence Delta Pro 12A in the other. Both are great speakers with a big and tight low end and great clarity. The Delta Pro 12A is a bit warmer on the high end, while the EVM12L is a bit brighter sounding. EV is rated at 200 watts, and the Eminence is rated at 400 watts I think. The only downside is both are very heavy speakers at about 16 pounds each. The magnets on them are enormous, but that's why they have such a tight sound with great clarity.
